Pastor Dan has, as well, served in a variety of capacities within churches in the Northeast. He has an extensive background in Christian Education and worked for a time at the United Methodist Publishing House where he operated within the Video & Audio production department. He received a B.A. from Gordon College  in Wenham, MA in Biblical Studies with minors in both psychology and sociology. He holds as well a M.A. from Scarritt Graduate School in Nashville, TN in Christian Education and a M. Div. from United Theological School in Dayton, Ohio. More recently, he has deepened his understanding about the spiritual journey having spent time  going through a two year course in Spiritual Direction at Gonzaga University in Spokane.

In addition, Pastor Dan comes with  diverse work experience outside of the church from owning and operating his own business to working in a restaurant selling "Coney Dogs" in his younger days.

I pray that God will help you on your journey and you will come to know and love the Lord all the more.  ~Blessings, Pastor Dan

Meet Pastor Meredith Brown

Hi,

I'm Rev. Meredith Brown, and I'm the pastor of Evergreen UMC.  I'm pleased to get to know you.

I grew up in Austin TX, where I discovered a gift for music and a love for faith. I attended Centenary College in Shreveport LA, where I studied piano, voice, and religion.  After graduation I moved to Massachusetts to continue my studies toward ordination in the United Methodist Church.  While at Boston University, I earned a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Sacred Music.  I also met and married my husband, Curtis, who is also a United Methodist minister.

We have two great daughters, who are into music, basketball, hiking, theater, and Girl Scouts.  When Curtis got a new job working for our regional church office in Seattle, we packed up the house and moved to Hawks Prairie in the summer of 2011.

I've been dreaming of a new kind of church, a real spiritual community of seekers and finders, serving the new friends we've been making in our new home.  I hope that you'll journey with us as we launch this dream of Evergreen UMC.

In addition to our congregations, the United Methodist Church is deeply engaged in world-changing and life-saving work fighting the disease and ending poverty throughout the world.  We are a premier disaster response and refugee assistance agency, operating in almost every region of the globe.  Today, we are building schools, digging wells, offering vaccinations, lobbying governments, and mobilizing communities of volunteers.
